My Little Slugger

Wow, what a difference from T-ball! The games goes much faster now with the pitching machine, and "outs" being used. Nathan missed his first game due to illness. He was very nervous about trying to hit the ball. They don't get to use the machine at the practices. As it turns out, he did very well. He was able to hit the ball both games, and even made it to 2nd base each time (so a player after him got a hit, too :)

Here are some pictures of him from Monday night's game. Go Brewers!

A HIT!!!! ...............................................................................Running to first base!

Sleeping Boys

The boys are growing up, and I don't like it one bit! I've been trying to relish in moments that are going to be gone all too soon..........falling asleep on dad, fitting sideways on a chair, falling asleep at the table. I couldn't resist, however, slipping some glasses on Logan, which he will not appreciate!! Oh, if I could only keep them this little.............

Wii

The boys got the Wii for Christmas. I liked the idea of having them "active" while they play video games. I focused on the "sport" ones, figuring that they would keep them more active than regular video games. We borrowed a Spider-man game from a friend. I thought they would just sit and play, but found that this was just as active (if not more so) for Logan than the sport ones!!! :)

SNOW DAY!!!

The boys had a snow day off from school today. This worked well as Nathan had a fever since Monday, and since he had one at bedtime last night, he would have had to stay home from school today. He woke up fever free and is playing and having fun. Now it won't count as an absence!!

They only played outside for about 30-40 minutes as it was drizzling and the snow was so wet, their gloves didn't stand a chance. They all came in due to cold hands (& that was after a change of gloves).

No snowman was made, but they had fun :)

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was fun. The boys got to open the things in thier stockings that Santa leaves outside their doors upstairs while they wait for everyone to get up before going downstairs. Then we all go down and sing "Happy Birthday" and put our baby Jesus in the manger. Them PopPop, MomMom & Aunt Kathy come visit while they open their gifts. Grandmom & Grandpop came for lunch, and we went to dinner at Uncle Bobby's & Aunt Lisa's. It was a great day, and nice to see the family!

Santa & Mrs. Claus

Here are pictures of the boys with Santa & the Mrs. Some are from the tree lighting at our Township building. They have it every year. The kids get to sit on Santa's lap, get a free polaroid taken (plus we take our own pics), have refreshments, and get to make neat crafts......all for free!! :) We look forward to it each year.

Santa & Mrs. Claus also came to our school's pancake breakfast the morning after. It was so nice to see them again!

Nathan's Tooth

Here is Nathan proudly showing that he lost a tooth! This is his 5th tooth that he lost, and this is a special one! See, the first one came out in a bagel, and he found it. The 2-4th ones he swallowed either by eating something when it came out, or brushing his teeth (yes, now I find out he sometimes swallows his toothpaste!). Finally, he has one to show for his loss (thanks to my buddy Gwenn, the school nurse, who "encouraged" his tooth to come out as she was putting oragel on it :) (Nathan just thinks it fell out by itself, so shhhhhhhhhhhhhh).

Mike's newest accomplishment

Well, for all of you who know Mike.....he's a "do it yourself" kind of guy. He decided to make his own mantle scarf for the beautiful mantle he made last year. With the help of my Mom and Aunt Betty, he now knows how to sew :)

Here are a few pictures he took of the scarf, and of Addison hamming it up :)

Nathan in his Cub Scout Uniform

Nathan has joined cub scouts this year. He is a Tiger cub. Here he is proudly showing off his brand new uniform :)

First Day of School

September 4th was the first day of school for all 3 boys. It was Nathan's first day getting up in the morning (he had PM kindergarten last year) and walking to his bus stop (kindergarteners get picked up at their houses). This was Addison's first day on the bus (by himself), and Logan's Preschool orientation. They all did well. We're off to a good start!!
